Vanderbilt newspaper, Orbis, publishes a article noting the continued rallying spirit of WRVU six months into threat of on-air licensee sale:

Last fall, Vanderbilt Student Communications (VSC) announced that they were researching the sale of the WRVU's FM license in order to fund an endowment that would support VSC, which includes The Hustler, ORBIS, The Torch and VTV. If the FM license were sold, WRVU would be converted to an online-only format. WRVU staff and listeners protested the proposed sale, and VSC postponed the decision in order to review student sentiments toward the station.
